A unique space for business inspiration and exchange of experiences for all those operating in the pet industry and focused on cooperation and development.

Session title: Understanding the modern pet owner: from budgeting to seeking curated experiences

Session description: Pet care market is experiencing a shift after the COVID pet population boom. Market, that was mainly driven by growing dog food demand, is now seeing a rise in smaller dog and cat food demand growth. Expectations for packaged pet food have shifted, too. Pet owners are moving away from grocery stores to pet specialists as they provide not only wider selection, higher quality, but also consultations and other services. Pet-related ideologies have evolved from simply owning animals to treating them as family members. Pet humanisation, which is supported by the ability to spend, drives demand for high-quality products, even at premium prices.

Date and time of the EMI session: 17 October 2025, 13:40–14:10 GMT+1
