Session title: Anticipating Customer Needs to Deliver Convenience, Speed, and Delight

Session description: Creating a welcoming retail vibe doesn’t always mean rolling out the slow, friendly, "let’s-chat-about-your-day" treatment. Sometimes, it’s about making shopping so fast and easy that customers want to high-five you on their way out—while still keeping a feeling of fun and delight. Tech plays a big role here, helping companies read the room (or browser) to figure out what customers need, how much time they have, and what will make them happiest. In this fast-paced panel conversation, two retail executives will share how they’re speeding things up, smoothing out the bumps, and still sprinkling in some magic. They’ll also discuss how they’re measuring the business benefits of those good vibes and smooth moves. This session will be a 20-minute panel conversation between two speakers and an interviewer (Michelle Evans).

Date and time of the EMI session: 25 March 2025, 16:05–16:45 PT

Name and title of the speaker involved: Michelle Evans, Global Lead, Retail and Digital Shopper Insights
