About Sowmya

Sowmya Ramaswami is Euromonitor International’s Global Practice Manager for Trade and Export, based out of Dubai. Sowmya works very closely with global commercial and research teams to support in research design, client engagements, setting best practices for custom research projects execution, and encouraging thought leadership by participating in events and webinars.

The majority of her work is in understanding market landscapes, value chains, and international trade dynamics of several agricultural and non-agricultural products. She has worked with several global and regional key trade organizations such as the USDA, Austrade, Saudi Exports, and others.

Sowmya maintains a deep familiarity with markets and supply chains, as well as international trade partners. Her work has heped to substantially expand exports for a wide variety of agricultural and non-agricultural products by delivering key insights that enhance targeting and capture of important trade opportunities.

Sowmya’s research also serves as a key input for export strategies for approximately 40 major trade associations, well-known governmental agencies, and multilateral development banks promoting international trade.

Prior to Euromonitor, Sowmya worked in a variety of research and consulting roles including with Capgemini Consulting and Frost & Sullivan.
