While the housing market in China has been weak following the protracted COVID-19 pandemic, the desire amongst Chinese consumers for a house of their own is still very much present, especially for new urbanites who are looking to settle down in China’s fast-developing metropolitan cities. The installation of a dishwasher is perceived as a necessity for this group of consumers, who value spending quality time with their family and friends, and are willing to trade money for time and convenience.
Functional integration as a trend in home décor in general, and home appliances in particular, is no longer fresh in the Chinese market. The latest manifestation of this hype in dishwashers is the launch of what is called “integrated dishwashers”; namely a one-stop solution for washing dishes, fruits and vegetables, as well as purifying water and processing food leftovers.

Dishwashers
A dishwasher is a device for cleaning crockery and cutlery. Freestanding models are commonly available in full-size, slimline and compact variants. Built-in machines can be fully integrated (completely hidden by a door front and have their controls at the top of the dishwasher door on the inside), semi-integrated which are covered by a matching kitchen door up to the height drawer, which are usually built in at chest height to make loading easier.
