Anticipated growth in nuts sales in Morocco is expected to continue throughout the forecast period, albeit at a slower pace due to economic concerns. However, the growing health and wellness trend will be a driving force behind increased demand.
Almonds, walnuts, and peanuts are projected to maintain their upward trajectory, primarily due to their perceived health benefits. These nuts are being actively promoted as healthier substitutes for impulse-driven snacks like cakes, chocolates, and fried snacks, with nutritional advice advocating their inclusion in diets on par with fruits and vegetables.
Fluctuations in nut consumption in Morocco might be influenced by weather conditions affecting local production. Despite this, the influx of affordable imported almonds from the USA and walnuts from Chile is expected to continue driving down unit prices.
