Lithuanian retail e-commerce is projected to demonstrate retail value sales growth (at constant 2022 prices) as it has yet to reach its full maturity. In response to the rising consumer preference for online shopping, many retailers have embraced an omnichannel business model.
As a small country, Lithuania is not able to host the presence of major international brands within its borders, making online shopping the only way to access them. This trend is expected to remain strong throughout the forecast period, with consumers continuing to take advantage of the convenience and variety afforded by online shopping.
Digitalisation is becoming increasingly part of everyday consumer life. Consequently, there is still considerable potential for retailers to expand on their e-commerce capabilities, for example virtual display possibilities, such as virtual dressing rooms in apparel and footwear e-commerce.
