Ukraine's e-commerce sector is expected to continue its expansion during the forecast period, with cross-border trade playing an increasingly vital role. The growing presence of Ukrainian businesses on international marketplaces, coupled with the international partnership of Ukrposhta with Temu and the growth of Nova Poshta in the EU countries, will facilitate smoother logistics for cross-border shopping.
Mobile commerce will be a major driving force behind the expansion of e-commerce during the forecast period, with the proportion of purchases made via smartphones continuing to rise. Retailers will focus on optimising mobile-friendly interfaces and integrating features such as one-click checkout, biometric payments, and AI-powered recommendations in order to enhance the user experience.
Delivery services will continue to be a critical factor in players’ efforts to remain competitive in e-commerce in the forecast period, with retailers and logistics providers investing heavily in last mile innovations. Companies will expand same-day and next-day delivery options, with some experimenting with hyperlocal fulfilment centres in densely populated areas as they work to speed up order processing.
