The experiences of the COVID-19 crisis are set to have an enduring effect on work practices in the Philippines as in many markets around the world, with many companies adopting hybrid work arrangements. With many people working from home on a regular basis, future fashion trends are likely to accommodate the hybrid work environment, involving more hybrid styles, which are smart enough for the office, relaxed enough for kitchen table teleconferences and, most importantly given the shift in attitudes resulting partly from the pandemic, comfortable.
Personalisation is still one of the most prominent trends in footwear in the Philippines. This includes painting, printing and adding embellishments to footwear.
Filipino consumers generally display a significant degree of trust in established brands and are, therefore, expected to continue to purchase products from brands that they know when they can afford it. If a brand offers less expensive options, consumers will tend towards these products in an uncertain economic environment.
