Several positive factors are likely to shape the performance of vending over the forecast period. First and foremost, consumer confidence is likely to improve resulting in higher spending, especially on snacks.
Key players in both hot and soft drinks, such as Lavazza and Red Bull, are expected to invest in the vending channel over the forecast period. These players plan to increase their presence in several Western European markets, focusing on travel, retail and leisure locations.
Driven by the increasingly busy lifestyles of consumers and the growing penetration of technological devices for everyday use, consumer electronics vending is seen as an area with the potential to develop over the forecast period. Appliances and electronics vending remained a niche area in 2024, but the selling of consumer electronics through vending, especially in travel locations such as metro stations, is seen as an area that could potentially grow.
