RTDs in the United Arab Emirates is expected to maintain strong growth momentum, driven by the launch of new brands and flavour innovations. Non-alcoholic RTDs is poised to see the most dynamic growth, followed by spirit-based RTDs, although the potential emergence of malt- and wine-based RTDs could further expand the category.
Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic RTDs are beginning to fragment. New entrants such as Beagans, which offers multiple flavours, and non-alcoholic RTD brands such as Sea Arch through the Drink Dry store, are expanding consumer choice.
Future innovation in RTDs is likely to centre on introducing unconventional flavours. While traditional options like Mojito, Pina Colada, and Gin & Tonic remain popular, newer varieties featuring watermelon, grapefruit, and pineapple have already entered the market.

RTDs
RTD stands for ‘ready-to-drink’. Other terms which may be used for these products are FABs, alcopops and premixes. The RTDs sector is the aggregation of malt-, wine-, spirit- and other types of premixed drinks. These drinks usually have an alcohol content of around 5% but this can reach as high as 10% ABV. Premixes containing a high percentage of alcohol of around 15%+ combined with juice or any other soft drink are included here. RTDs are usually marketed as products to be drunk neat, with ice, or as a cocktail ingredient. Fruit-flavoured, vodka-based spirits with an alcohol content of between 16-21% are classified here. Examples: Alizé, Ursus Roter, Berentzen Fruchtige, Kleiner Feigling.
