Hotels also enjoys a positive performance in Indonesia in 2024, with mid-market hotels doing well thanks to being perceived as offering good value for money. There is also strong competition in the mid-market hotel segment, with small, fragmented shares between named brands, and a significant share on unnamed “others” (over four-fifths of all brand share).
Booking is looking healthy in Indonesia in 2024, with online intermediaries in particular seeing robust sales. For example, leading Traveloka and second-placed Tiket.
Inbound arrivals will maintain positive sales over the forecast period, with numbers expected to return to pre-pandemic levels. This will be supported by the Indonesian government’s continued focus on and investment in the country’s travel and tourism ecosystem.
