Consumers will be increasingly health conscious and there will be increasing demand for carbonates with lower calorie and sugar content, as well as less additives. Diabetes and obesity are growing health issues in Croatia, and this will in part support growth of carbonates with a healthier profile.
Carbonated drinks manufacturers will engage consumers through novelty and exclusivity, including limited edition offerings. Recent examples include Coca Cola’s Y3000 Zero Sugar drink that was created by loyal consumers, with the help of artificial intelligence.
There will be growing interest in carbonates that can serve as mixers for cocktails and mocktails. This trend will be driven by the desire for creative and customisable drinking experiences, whether at home or in social settings.
