There is an emerging trend among higher-income consumers who are increasingly seeking premium or speciality cooking oils. These consumers are drawn to niche products that offer unique or refined flavours, such as La Chinata’s truffle-infused olive oil or Cocoma’s extra virgin coconut oil.
As consumer interest in health-conscious cooking options grows, avocado oil is anticipated to expand its market presence significantly. Currently available at select modern retailers, such as in Better Foods’ 500ml bottles and aerosol spray options, avocado oil appeals to consumers seeking oils perceived as healthier.
The trend towards cost-effective cooking oils is expected to support the growth of private label blended edible oils, particularly those offered in high-volume containers. With products such as Great Value’s 3500ml bottles available at retailers like PriceSmart and Walmart, private label brands provide consumers with a viable alternative to more costly branded options.
