According to Euromonitor International’s Voice of the Consumer: Health and Nutrition Survey, fielded January to February 2024, 78% of households in the country own pets, which is a higher number than in previous years.

Although retail channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounters, and small local grocers are the most important in bleach, other channels have been strengthening from a low base, such as pharmacies, which offer cleaning products that satisfy the need for immediacy amongst “frequent purchase – small outlay” buyers. In Mexico, pharmacies such as the Farmacias Guadalajara chain have opted for portfolio diversification, with the aim of covering a greater number of consumer needs, and positioning themselves as a key destination for emergency purchases by Mexicans.
