Although growth in fragrances current value sales in 2025 looks set to equal that recorded in 2024, this is partly because unit prices have recently increased following the rise in VAT in Israel at the start of the year. Along with ongoing uncertainty related to the war against Hamas, additional price hikes are likely to contribute to a further slowdown in volume growth.
In contrast to most areas of Israel’s beauty and personal care market, premium products accounted for the largest share of total volume and current value sales in fragrances in 2024. This is set to remain the case over the forecast period, with the premium segment projected to record faster growth than its mass counterpart in both respects despite its higher level of maturity and greater exposure to ongoing economic uncertainty.
In line with global trends, it is anticipated molecular products will continue to gain popularity and be a focal point for innovation in fragrances in Israel over the forecast period. Interest in such varieties is likely to remain strongest in the premium segment, where notable recent launches in this vein have included Molecules Escentric 02, exclusively available from local department stores chain Hamashbir Lazarchan.

Fragrances
This is the aggregation of men's, women's and unisex mass and premium fragrances as well as fragrances sets/kits and body mists. The distinction between mass market and premium is normally price and label/positioning (mass fragrances rarely carry a designer label) and distribution. Also includes hair fragrances with a primary function of making hair smell good and not to be confused with hair oil and other styling/conditioning products with hair fragrances, whose primary function is to either condition or style over fragrance.
