Full-service restaurants have lost some ground to limited-service restaurants, as domestic consumers switch to more affordable options and cut back on visiting more expensive eateries. This trend is likely to continue at the start of the forecast period, with many lower-income consumers unable to afford to eat out in such establishments.
Moroccans enjoy visiting full-service restaurants, especially families who like going to restaurants that offer something special, aside from the cuisine itself. Locals are keen to visit restaurants that have a nice vibe or that offer some added experience, such as live music or shows whilst the customers are dining.
Full-service restaurants have a chance to compete against fast food offerings from limited-service restaurants, by adding an online ordering service. With Moroccans increasingly keen to order food online, full-service restaurants can use delivery services to expand their offerings and reach more customers.

Full-Service Restaurants
FSR (full-service restaurants) encompasses all sit-down establishments where the focus is on food rather than on drink. FSR is characterized by table service and a relatively higher quality of food compared to quick-service units. Menus offer multiple selections and may include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Preparation of food products is often complex and involves multiple steps. NOTE: restaurants types catalogued in this segment refer to table-service only (outlets with a proper “full table service:” wait staff attending customers and taking orders at the tables). Outlets with “limited table service” are excluded from FSR. For example: outlets where customers order their food at the counter are excluded (even though the waiter will then bring the food at the table).
