Regardless of the uncertainty over the forecast period due to the high rate of inflation and economic pressures, it is still expected that higher-income consumers will continue to pay for premium dining experiences. Affluent consumers are willing to pay for higher quality, fresh, and healthier food offered by fine dining establishments.
The strong growth of third-party food delivery services, experienced within limited-service restaurants, is predicted to be replicated within the full-service industry. As a result, this will help to stimulate value growth of full-service restaurants over the forecast period, as consumers continue to seek fast and convenient food delivery services.
The busy lifestyles of consumers are expected to persist over the forecast period, and the presence of better ways to order online, using a variety of apps and payment options, will help to drive demand for food via full-service restaurants. The introduction of payment technologies, such as instant money and vouchers and QR codes, is set to make paying for meals easier, thus also helping to streamline growth.

Full-Service Restaurants
FSR (full-service restaurants) encompasses all sit-down establishments where the focus is on food rather than on drink. FSR is characterized by table service and a relatively higher quality of food compared to quick-service units. Menus offer multiple selections and may include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Preparation of food products is often complex and involves multiple steps. NOTE: restaurants types catalogued in this segment refer to table-service only (outlets with a proper “full table service:” wait staff attending customers and taking orders at the tables). Outlets with “limited table service” are excluded from FSR. For example: outlets where customers order their food at the counter are excluded (even though the waiter will then bring the food at the table).
