Full-service restaurants in the Philippines will see continued growth in terms of both current value terms. This will be facilitated easing inflationary pressures, which will have a positive impact on household spending.
Despite the fact that concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic had largely faded by 2023, ensuring a safe and convenient dining experience will continue to be priority for most Filipinos. To this end, full-service restaurant players will seek to provide well-designed, comfortable and clean dining environments, as well as investing in digital technology to provide better service levels.
While full-service restaurants have historically been less dependent on home-delivery services than some other categories, players are also likely to focus on improving these services in the coming years, especially through paett4nrships with third party delivery operators. However, one major challenge facing full-service restaurants is that their menus are typically less suited than those of limited-service restaurants and cafés for transportation and consumption at home.

Full-Service Restaurants
FSR (full-service restaurants) encompasses all sit-down establishments where the focus is on food rather than on drink. FSR is characterized by table service and a relatively higher quality of food compared to quick-service units. Menus offer multiple selections and may include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Preparation of food products is often complex and involves multiple steps. NOTE: restaurants types catalogued in this segment refer to table-service only (outlets with a proper “full table service:” wait staff attending customers and taking orders at the tables). Outlets with “limited table service” are excluded from FSR. For example: outlets where customers order their food at the counter are excluded (even though the waiter will then bring the food at the table).
