Beer will register moderate volume growth over the forecast period. The increased number of in-bound arrivals, both for business and leisure, along with natural population growth, will support volume sales.
There will be growing demand for beer with higher alcohol content of 8-9%. This will be linked to price sensitivity.
Volume sales will continue to be low for non/low alcohol beer, but it will register healthy volume growth. Consumers will display an eagerness to try novel products, with also an interest in flavoured offerings.

Beer
An alcoholic drink usually brewed from malt, sugar, hops and water and fermented with yeast. Some beers are made by fermenting a cereal, especially barley, and therefore not flavoured by hops. Alcohol content for beer is varied – anything up to and over 14% ABV (alcohol by volume), although 3.5% to 5% is most common. Beer is the aggregation of lager, dark beer, stout and non/low alcohol beer.
