Beer is expected to maintain positive sales over the forecast period, despite some challenges persisting. Uncertainty in the political landscape is expected to continue until at least 2026, when presidential elections will take place.
Despite the growing interest of Colombian consumers in moderating their alcohol intake, non-alcoholic beer is expected to see only limited sales. This is because non-alcoholic beer is not particularly appealing and can be easily replaced by soft drinks like carbonated beverages or bottled water.
Innovations in the beer industry will continue to focus on diversifying the sizes of cans and bottles to meet consumers' needs regarding pricing and various consumption occasions. In response to inflationary pressures, brands like Andina have reduced their can sizes from 330ml to 310ml, while maintaining the same price.

Beer
An alcoholic drink usually brewed from malt, sugar, hops and water and fermented with yeast. Some beers are made by fermenting a cereal, especially barley, and therefore not flavoured by hops. Alcohol content for beer is varied – anything up to and over 14% ABV (alcohol by volume), although 3.5% to 5% is most common. Beer is the aggregation of lager, dark beer, stout and non/low alcohol beer.
