Non-alcoholic mixed beer, which is better known as “Radler” in the Czech Republic, will continue to gain popularity in the upcoming period. Czech households have adopted this type of beer and penetration is set to rise further still.
Domestic products will benefit from the decrease in Czech interest rates and weak exchange rate, whilst the relative price of imported products will rise in 2024. Domestic brands can capitalise on this trend as they have the potential to attract more customers to domestic beers, as imports become more expensive.
Sustainable technologies are being embraced by breweries with production changing accordingly. New technologies allow breweries to become more sustainable and reduce the impact they have on the environment.

Beer
An alcoholic drink usually brewed from malt, sugar, hops and water and fermented with yeast. Some beers are made by fermenting a cereal, especially barley, and therefore not flavoured by hops. Alcohol content for beer is varied – anything up to and over 14% ABV (alcohol by volume), although 3.5% to 5% is most common. Beer is the aggregation of lager, dark beer, stout and non/low alcohol beer.
