In Poland, wine consumption per capita has reached six litres per person annually, but this remains much lower compared to many other European countries. The lower level of consumption per capita shows that there is room for category growth.
An increase in consumer interest in non-alcoholic drinks is set to support the further expansion of non-alcoholic wine. Many consumers, especially younger ones, are increasingly keen to follow healthy and active lifestyles, with non-alcoholic wine fitting in very well with this behaviour.
Wine products are defined in Polish regulations to have a certain ABV level. At the end of 2023, the Association of Employers The Polish Wine Council submitted an application to the Ministry of Agriculture to lower the minimum alcohol level in wine products from 12% to 4.
