Due to high inflation and rising manufacturing costs the price of wine increased in 2022 and 2023. With signs of inflation stabilising it is expected that the price of wine will remain more stable over the forecast period which should help to sustain total volume growth.
Non-alcoholic wine is expected to continue developing and should increase its share of category sales with it being projected to see stronger growth in total volume terms than alcoholic still light grape wine. This projection is based on a long-term trend of consumers looking to lead healthier lifestyles, which has been especially notable among younger generations who are on average drinking less than their parents did.
Flavoured still wine first appeared in Ukraine in 2023 with large local manufacturer Global Beverage Trade launching its Fruit Collection under its leading Aznauri brand. This innovative range is offered in four flavours – peach (still white), strawberry (still rosé), blackcurrant and cherry (both still red).
