While the juice market in Estonia is expected to experience a gradual recovery from the dramatic declines of 2023 and 2024, it is unlikely to return to its previous sales volumes. Consumer preferences have been evolving for several years, with health concerns related to the high sugar content of juices discouraging regular consumption.
Private label juice products are poised to gain significant ground in Estonia over the forecast period. While private label penetration has historically been modest, the continued expansion of Lidl and the strategic efforts of Maxima to enhance its Well Done private label brand are expected to drive rapid growth in this area.
Super-premium juice is expected to find greater success within the foodservice (hotel, restaurant, and café) channel rather than traditional retail outlets. Small glass bottles of premium juice, when served in restaurants or upscale establishments, offer operators the opportunity to generate substantial profit margins while enhancing the perceived value of their offerings.

Juice
This category covers all still packaged juice obtained from fruits or vegetables by mechanical processes, reconstituted or fresh, often including pulp or fruit/vegetable puree. All unpackaged juices are excluded. Only still drinks are included here. Carbonated varieties are included non-cola carbonates. Juice-flavoured milk drinks and fruit shakes which are primarily milk are excluded–these are instead tracked in Packaged Foods Dairy. However, if the juice component is greater, the product is to be excluded from Packaged Foods Dairy coverage and tracked under the relevant category (based on % juice content) within Soft Drinks juice. This sector is the aggregation of 100% juice, nectars (25-99% juice content), juice drinks (up to 24% juice content), and coconut & other plant waters.
